Today (November 10, 2025), Mr. Bernd Reitmeier, Managing Director of Startup Factory China, visited the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau (WHZ) to discuss potential forms of cooperation within the context of the Yi Qi project.
At the WHZ International Office, Mr. Reitmeier met with Ms. Betina Sedlaczek (Head of the International Office), Prof. Schumann (Professor of Business Informatics and a key member of the Yi Qi project), and Dr. Xiaoli Chen (Yi Qi project staff member).
During the approximately two-hour exchange, various perspectives for deepening German-Chinese cooperation were discussed. These include, among other things:
Opportunities for students from Saxony to study abroad in China
Practical and business contacts for CDHAW dual-degree students
and the use of the Yi Qi network as a bridge between institutions in Saxony and China
The meeting provides a promising foundation for the further development of strategic cooperation between WHZ and Startup Factory China within the framework of the Yi Qi project.
About Startup Factory China
Startup Factory China is a German-run production and service center in Kunshan (near Shanghai) that supports European companies in entering the market, establishing, and operating their business activities in China. The concept offers companies "factory sharing" with shared infrastructure, management support, and local network access. This enables companies to quickly, flexibly, and with minimal risk establish or expand their production in China.
